Client Background
The client, a well-known retail chain in Taiwan with numerous stores nationwide, has embraced digital transformation—introducing digital membership, mobile payments, e-coupons, and personalized notifications to integrate online and offline shopping.
As online traffic grew, the legacy system struggled, causing delays and interruptions during promotions. To support future growth, the company engaged a cloud-experienced consulting team to redesign the architecture and improve system flexibility and stability.
Challenges
Although the client has long adopted AWS cloud services, the growing complexity of their systems demands more stable and flexible network connectivity. Their legacy network, based on traditional MPLS lines, lacks agility and requires external support for troubleshooting, limiting the IT team’s real-time visibility.
With increasingly complex connections across branches, data centers, and the cloud, simplifying the network architecture while improving redundancy and automated failover has become a critical priority.

Our Solutions
To build a stable, flexible, and fully controllable network, we helped the customer redesign the architecture from the ground up:
✅ Implemented AWS Transit Gateway to unify networks across services and segments
✅ Established AWS Direct Connect for fast, secure cloud-to–datacenter connectivity
✅ Deployed dual-path VPNs from different carriers to ensure automatic failover
✅ Introduced an SD-WAN framework for better traffic control and network agility
✅ Used BGP routing for multi-path switching and dynamic traffic adjustment
✅ Adopted multi-route-table phased migration to avoid service disruption
✅ Conducted joint cloud–network team simulations and dry runs to ensure a smooth rollout

Implementation Results
After upgrading its network architecture, the customer successfully moved away from traditional leased lines and built a modern, flexible, and self-recovering network.
🚀 More stable and flexible connections between cloud services, data centers, headquarters, and branches
🚀 Faster troubleshooting and reduced risk of downtime
🚀 Improved efficiency and responsiveness for the internal IT team
🚀 A solid foundation for future cloud expansion and integration
